Real Gaming extends promo efforts to wrangle Online Poker Traffic

Real Gaming, Nevada’s newest online poker room, has struggled to draw any notable traffic since its official launch, following an extensive trial phase that began in February of this year. When state regulators finally approved the full launch, Real Gaming began offering enticing promotions to draw players over from rival operators. Since Ultimate Poker closed last month, however, those promotional efforts have increased ten-fold, including the most recent announcement of daily cash back rewards for players.

The online poker room issued a new promo in which players who participate in raked cash games and/or tournaments on a regular basis can earn up to $50 a day in cash back rewards. Playing at Real Gaming on a daily basis could be worth even more cash back, multiplying a member’s due rewards by 2x to 5x.

The details of the new online poker promotion state that every player who builds their Loyalty Score to 3 during a single day of play will become eligible for the minimum $1 in cash back for that day. The higher a player’s Loyalty Score grows in that day, the more cash back they will earn, up to $50 every day.

Making this promotion even more favorable for serious online poker players is the ability to multiply one’s cash back earnings up to 5x. A player that qualifies for at least $1 in cash back for 15 days during a calendar month will receive 2x the qualifying cash back rewards for days 16 through 20. If that player qualifies for 20 full days in a single month, the cash back rewards are multiplied 5x for day 21 and beyond.

This online poker promo is only valid until the end of December, but there’s still time to get up to 20+ days of cash back. New players must have a verified membership account with Real Gaming before they can qualify for daily cash back rewards. The qualifying days played to earn multipliers do not have to be consecutive days, so long as they add up to 15+ before the promotional period comes to an end.

Real Gaming was quick to point out that players who take advantage of this promo are likely to become eligible for another one of their favorable online poker campaigns, deemed the ‘Real 50’. By accumulating at least 3 points on the loyalty score each day, a player should be able to move up the Real 50 leaderboard with relative ease. The top 50 players who earn the highest score in a month will share in a $7,000 cash prize.

In addition, the Real 50 also keeps count of the online poker room’s best players for the year. The annual Player of the Year Giveaway will award $16,000 in cash, with $6,000 going to the top 3 small-stakes leaders (minimum score of 60 required), and $10,000 going to the top 3 medium-stakes leaders (minimum score of 80 required). The POY payout ratio will be spread 50% to 1st place, 30% to 2nd place and 20% to 3rd place.

Ultimate Poker dropped out of the Nevada market last month, leaving Real Gaming and WSOP.com to battle it out for all of the state’s online poker traffic. Since then, Real Gaming has increased its average cash game traffic from an unimpressive 7 to 8, while WSOP is clearly running away with the popularity race, rising from 120 to 160 concurrent players.
